STAGE 5: (CONCLUSION OF THE STORY )
They have overcome their problems thanks to their team spirit and
they could get out of this situation. One the other hand , the will explain why
it’s so important to help oneself and that
they are able to create links in spite of their difference of opinion.
Three bullies were causing the usual disorder in the
classroom (their feet were up on the table, throwing paper airplanes, etc.)
Alex, Derek and Jennifer.
Alex throws a paper airplane, at the teacher, and when
e turns to the class, outraged, says:
Teacher: "If this
happens again..."
Without leaving the professor finishing his sentence,
Derek hits the teacher with another paper airplane, right in the face.
(this generates a great racket, a mixture of laughter
and the teacher's words of indignation)
The school's headmaster was passing by the corridor
(outside the classroom) and when he hears the noise, comes into the classroom.
He identifies the guilty (which are always the same) and sends them to
detention.
They complain because they thought it was torture, and
they would hear a sermon all afternoon.
In
the orchestra’s room:
They entered the room followed by the Headmaster. When
he turned on the light they could see the chairs arranged to receive the school
orchestra.
Jennifer: are you
kidding me?
Headmaster: As you know,
the sermons didn't result, neither your parents appear when they are
called..."
(Members of the orchestra entered, and none of the
three bullies hadn´t even realized what they were doing there.)
Headmaster- "My
friends, as I was saying, as none of the reprimands resulted with you, the
pedagogical council concludes that the best for you, would be to include you in
a group of the school ... and why not the orchestra?
They could not believe that they would join the group
of nerds which they never stopped joking with.
(Followed by the choice of the role that each of them
would play in the orchestra. The bullies were invited to choose an instrument, which
would be their afternoon company during the three following months)
(…)
Initially they took time to get used to the idea, they
were very reluctant to play their role in the group, but over time they get
conformed, and they even start to like it...
(…)
The Orchestra participates in Inter-schools orchestras
contest, but they end up losing. However, they managed to show his change,
effort and great willpower that they had to change their lives, and give a new
direction to their future.
In the end they comforted their mates, showing group
spirit. They were congratulated by the headmaster, proud of what he did for
these young people's future.
(Their photo appeared in the newspaper, where they
were recognized by their talent and their promising future instead of negative
reasons).
3. Movie script from Romania :
We hold others in
respect, we have respect for us
Stoicescu Teodora, 7th grade
I would say that it is not advisable to treat others in a
way that they do not appreciate it or in a way that you wouldn’t appreciate it
either. People are so different, they are so beautiful and interesting in their
diversity thus it is very difficult and incorrect to assume that something that
you do not like might suit others’ taste. I think respect is something that
resides from our love of the human kind. I believe that respect can be gained
with a lot of effort, but nonetheless it can be lost easily.
I believe that the respect we have for others is most
visible when we argue for something: we can dispute ideas but not offend our
partners.
Characters:
1. Claudiu
– the ‘wise guy’ type of person, fan of “Satana’s Cartoons”, sheer proof of
illiteracy, he thinks that he is much better/ smarter than his colleagues or
teachers
2. Adina,
the “gentle/ docile” type of character, loving and respectful, Claudiu’s
“victim”
3. Andreea,
domineering type of person, teacher’s pet, who has the upper hand of people
around her, Claudiu’s girlfriend
4. Maria
– Adina’s best friend, rock fan, a wild temper, strong willed
5. A
character who sits on the fence – Adina’s mother (Diana), single mum, grieved
by her husband’s abandonment, who can only help Adina whenever she’s not
thinking about the devastating breakup. An even-tempered type of person,
forgiving and loving type of person
SCENE 1:
A typical day of school. Adina goes to the schoolyard
accompanied by her friend, Maria, in order to relax, talk about clothes,
celebrities and the latest gossip in the music industry. Claudiu enters the
scene, surrounded by his buddies, sees Adina and starts swearing like a
trooper, saying nasty things about her family and making fun of her clothing
style. Maria cannot sit tight and interrupts “the wise guy” by telling him to
back off and mind his own business. But, Claudiu does not back off easily and
starts cursing Maria, but the girl does not get intimidated by his behavior,
grabs Adina by her hand and they leave.
SCENE 2:
Break time again. Adina gets out of the classroom, holding
her books, on her way to a new course. Andreea sees her and heads to that
direction, pushing her intentionally in order to make her drop her books. Maria
witnessed the entire scene and heads for Adina in a hurry. Meanwhile, Andreea
leaves.
SCENE 3:
Adina gets home tired and absent-minded. She says hello to
her mum as she takes off her shoes. Her mum asks about her school day and
Adina, sighing, tells her everything she went through. Hearing the horrible
things that her daughter has to go through on daily basis, Diana promises her
daughter to go and talk to the principal of the school.
SCENE 4:
Seeing that her mum does nothing to help her, Adina
approaches the French teacher and tells the teacher her grief/ distress. As the
teacher had her own share of problems to think about, refuses to help Adina and
tells her: “Get the hell away from here, I don’t give a damn about you!”
Adina, disappointed and outraged, cuts school and goes to a
nearby park to plot on her revenge.
As she sat on a bench, she saw a group of boxers from a
nearby club, doing their usual training. Suddenly, the idea of asking her
Friend Paul to knock Claudiu senseless crossed her mind. As for Andreea, her
enemy, she thought of making her trip and fall over on the school’s stairs in
front of the entire student body and break her arms. She would watch all of
this in a vindictive and enraged look.
Still, admiring the splendor of the park, of the flowers, of
the pigeons, her soul fought against these evil thoughts, but her thirst for
revenge was not quenched. Then, she postponed her plans of revenge and told
herself that she would make up her mind that night.
At night, as she went to bed, she decided not to follow
through with those horrendous ideas, as she knew that violence would only lead
to violence and that she has more respect for people than for their actions in
the spur of a moment.
SCENE 5:
The teacher realizes that she had misjudged the entire
situation and calls Claudiu and Andreea to work out on the conflict they have
with Adina. The two children understand that they have acted in a wrong way and
that they might, in turn, be victims of such violence themselves. They then bury the hatchet and invite Adina to the
rock concert that evening.
The three children learnt that violence is a monster that
casts a shadow on their souls and minds and that can destroy their lives.

(Carol takes her necklace back)
Yeah right, you’re lying. You’re a thief!

Victoria:
Me?? She’s nuts telling the lies. She did it. Carol, you saw that your necklace
was in her hands! I haven’t done anything.

But you bustled in the dressing room next to Carol's
bag. I know that it was you!
Carol:
(To Victoria) Is this true? It was you??
(All eyes are turned to Victoria. She is looking
down ashamed.)
Victoria:
Okay, okay. Yes, it was me. I did it. I took the
necklace from your bag and put it in Emma's bag. Are you happy now?
Carol:
Why did you do this? I've never expected that
you steal from me!
Victoria:
I just don't like Emma. Since the beginning I

Victoria starts speaking).
Victoria:
(timidly) It was me who took the necklace from Carol’s bag. Emma has nothing to do with it. (looks at Emma) I'm sorry that I
behaved badly towards you. I don't know what got into me. I really apologize.
Headmaster:
Thank you Victoria, go now and have a seat. That’s all for now.
(The headmaster leaves the classroom and
Victoria takes her seat. Everyone starts
chatting and all eyes are turned to Emma or Victoria).
Teacher:
Well, where did we stop with our studies...
Silence, please!

bullying you.
Carol: I apologize too. Actually, you are quite a cool girl.
Emma:
